Bought an Opinel

I found a #8 in an antique store for $10.00.  I have to admit I'm quite taken with it.

I had a couple of #8's years ago.  Nice enough knives; a lot of folks like them and of course the French love them.

They seem to fit in with the less is more mentality I've started to aquire as I've gotten older.  They are kinda like the knife version of a Handirifle.  I think I'm gonna get a couple of Moras too.

 Dear Swampman:
The Opinels are my favorite. They stay sharp through dressing a deer, and they're affordable.
I carried one a long time ago that had a loose blade, wanted to come halfway open in my pocket. Sewed up a light weight leather case for it to slip into. Possible consequenses frightened me! :o
