What bullets? What loads?  When you aren't hunting dinosaurs, what do you shoot? Thanks.

I've been shooting some Sierra 350 gr JSP. I have used H4227, Lil-Gun and just recently loaded some with H110. Just plinking and trying to break it in. Haven't really tried to be accurate but at 50 yards they're all in an 8" circle with iron sights. First time I shot with corbon 400gr. They were pretty severe on recoil. Let me know what your using.

A friend of mine uses 50 cal BP bullets and Trailboss powder for plinking. I was just wondering what others were doing before I bought some components to do that.

I use two different bullets, the 440 grain Lee cast bullet, and the Lee .50 cal REAL bullet (.512") sized to .502".
Powder and load would be Unique or similar, ranging from 9 to 15 grains or so, depending on what I was looking for.

In a N.E.F. handi, I tryed lee 50 cal 360gr improved minie, cast of wheel weights, sized-as cast, lubed with liquid alox. started at 13gr unique but kept blowing the skirt on the minie, worked my way down to 10gr, no leading no more blown skirts,  about 3 inch groups off hand at 50 yds, recoil is about like a 2 3/4 20ga dove load. power would have no problem shooting clean through a deer broadside at 50yds and under. keep advized I was seeing some strong pressure sings at 13gr!!!

I had a good day at the range. I found a headspace problem and fixed it. Also had to unfloat the barrel but I got 3/4" 3 shot group at 50yds. I was shooting factory 325 gr at 1400fps. A mild easy shooting load. I used a Red Dot scope.
