Any of you fellers got first hand experience with the P/W Metallica 2? I don't want a fully automatic press. Too much wiggle and giggle for me. A friend of mine has a P/W shotgun loader and I am very impressed with how sturdy it is.
After loading a bazillion rounds on the Rockchucker, I need to become more efficient at loading so I can cast more boolits.

No experience with P/W metalic reloaders but I have had a LS1000 in 12 ga since they were first introduced. It is a great machine made by a top notch company. I think the metalic reloader would be as well.

Hairtrigger,
A friend of mine has the same P/W loader I think. What has turned me on to their loaders is they are sturdier than a brick outhouse. Compared to the mec loaders (wiggle and giggle) his doesn't move. I want a semiprogressive loader that doesn't move or shake the powder measure or leak powder everywhere. From what I can tell on their site it looks like the Metallica 2 fits the bill.

There are several makers of turrett type reloaders, Lyman, RCBS, Redding and P/W come to mind.
Just like all of the P/W reloaders the Metalic is not cheep but well made.
Turrett type relaoders are just a step away from progressive. I use a Hornady progressive press for rifle/pistol. It is less expensive than Dillon, heas the same lifetime warranty and cheeper to change calibers. The dillon also has more parts many seem delicate.
I have used the Hornady Projector for many years without any problems.
