encore & minnie?

I traded for a used encore muzzle loader, realy didn't want the barrel just the frame, but since it is now mine I guess I will use it. so will the encore 209x50 fast twist be able to shoot lee 360gr improved minnie using light charges of 50 to 60 grain of real black- goex? range only needs to extend to 75 yrds.                                                                                                                  I have a bit of muzzle loader experiance with side locks, and could never see a need to shoot more than 60 gr of black for my needs so Please do not try to convince me to use more powder, its not going to happen.

Some T/C barrels will shoot conicals. Then some don't. Seems to be the QLA (quick load area) muzzle that causes the problem. I have several friends that have great luck with the T/C Black Diamond thou. Some do, some don't. Just my readings on the encore. The quick twist is not a problem. I shoot a White with a 1:24 twist that loves conicals. I don't shoot minnies. What have you to loose? You have the powder & minnies. Good Luck!

Go shoot it and find out. Just because someone here may have tried it, does not mean that it will give you the same results in your gun.
Every gun has a tendency to shoot differently. Nothing like finding out for yourself.

"Most" not all  guys that shoot the Encore use sabots and any where from 80 to 120 gr. of loose powder or 100 to 150 gr. of pellets. I am in no way trying to tell you to try different powder or bullets.
