Don.
The general rule of throat wear is about one thou per hundred rounds.
900 round is not enough wear to rechamber, but that depends how fuzzy you are. I shoot only Moly plated bullets and wear is less.
Besides around here getting any precision barrel work done is an exerize of futility. Never mind getting a good barrel.
If you get four in a bug hole, there is no reason at all not to get the fifth one in the same hole. I did the same thing yesterday. It is a well known incident. But you know all it does it ruins your day.
My 6ppc is 21.5", the HBR 25Hunter is 22.75" and the 30BR is 22.5. Who knows what the right length is. Ringing the barrel to determen the right length is what Bill Calfy does.
Yes I read all about the Houston warehouse. A 100yard tunnel with a heated shooting house would also do, two benches, build in Chrono. powered target retriever, air handling unit and excaust, and loading benches and tools, sound baffles, kitchenette, toilet.
You could even have a bed to sleep on the job. And of course a precison lathe to do barrel work right on the spot.
I gues we better not take up to much forum space with non Handi subjects. Some folks may get browned off?
What do you think Mac and Quick.
