Low light digital shot's
« on: December 14, 2006, 04:07:31 AM »

What really amazed me about this shot are the crators I can see on the edges. This was taken with 2 second delay 12x zoom Sony DSCH-5.
I have no idea about the settings...I was experimenting. I believe the camera will tell me if I look. I just got the camera this fall. I did have to blow the shot up via "Paint" on my computer so you could see it better

I believe PC magazine was recently discussing souping up your digital camera via downloading software programs into it.

Anyone doing this? What results did you experience? I'm really interested in low light shots. What I want is to capture winter timber wolf on bait (road kill deer). At this point I'm not even certain a full moon would be enough light for me, plus they don't like the moon anyway.

About 5 years ago my cabin buddy showed me his video camera that was capable of zero light recording and about a 500x? zoom. He zoomed in on a piece of paper on the wall, specifically, the period at the end of a sentence. I was stunned. It was in complete darkness in the cabin.

I keep trying to talk him into night video shooting but he has shown no interest.
