I recently picked up a 1981 straight-stock 336 that has a swivel stud clamp mounted on the mag tube. I would like to replace that setup with the newer barrel band that has the swivel stud mounted to it. Does anyone know if these barrel bands are interchangeable?

Call Marlin and see ,, they can probably send you one and would be cheaper than buying it off a distributor..

Thanks for the tip on the number. I called in this morning and after a long wait I was able to order the rear barrel band with the swivel stud mounted. The rep said it was interchangeable with the rear band on the 336T. Cost was $17 plus shipping (around $20 total I think.). I put it on my credit card and it's on the way. It was a little pricier than I expected but I think it will be a worthwhile upgrade.
