Planning my western hunt

 :) I'm starting to plan an elk hunt in Wyoming for 2007. I have a preference point from last year. Are the rest of you starting to plan or are you waiting for the draw already? Good luck.

I'm moving there this summer. The wife and I decided that we should move there before the kids get to old. This has been a dream of mine for 25 years. So, to answer your question, I am planning my Wyoming hunt also. Good bye non-resident tags.

If you hunt in the area of Yellowstone, have pepper spray.

That's right, and its also a good idea to tie little silver bells to your shoe laces so's they can hear ya come'n and won't get surprised.   ;D

With the wolves and bears, there seems to be no elk left near Yellowstone.... maybe that is how the wolf advocates are gonna control the wolves- let themselves eat everything and then starve to death!!

there seems to be a big push by "them" to say that elk numbers are the same in order to discount what hunters are saying.  Just makes you not want to trust the goverment.  Either "them" are stupid or lie a lot.
