A litttle cold weather isn't bad.  Been out the last couple days it was nice in the woods.  I had saw quite a few deer alot of small ones.  I let them go.  Last night I had a real respectable 6 pointer standing about 30 feet in front of me, Wonder where he was hiding at during rifle season.

Well went out today and it was pretty much a waste of time. Saw little for sign in the snow what I did see what old and I finally saw 2 does about 20 min before shooting time was over. Too brushy for a good shot and I was not sure if it was private or county land as both were there according to the plat book. Since I was not sure and the shot was poor I passed. Guess I may take the xbow out once or twice more in the metro area but I am done with gun hunting this year. Talked to a taxidermist friend of mine who also does deer processing. Said both parts of his business were really down this year. Though he did shoot a 11 pointer that was the biggest buck he ever shot. I told him good thing he knows a taxidermist who can do it cheap for him LOL.

Manage to get a good size does saw alot of small ones.  Saturday afternoon was watching a nice 8-pointer chasing a small doe around.  Saturday morning the only thing I saw was a couple of coyotes and one has a good size hole in his ass.  The other one got away.  Been noticing alot of coyote tracks in my woods. Time to put the deer rifles away and now take the 22 Hornet out to take care of the coyote problem.
