Are you asking about Centerfire Systems in Ky. or a place called Centerfire Arms?  If you are asking about Centerfire Systems here in Ky....

They are reasonably close to me and I have dealt with them a lot.  They are good people to do business with but are a little higher on their prices most of the time and they do seperate items and sell them seperately sometimes.

For example.  I purchased a Yugo 24/47 from them and they sold the 24/47 and the bayonet as seperate items, where I purchased a Yugo 24/47 from AIM and got the rifle and bayonet included for about the same price.

I usually order from places like AIM but sometimes I can get a ok deal from Centerfire because I can pick the item up and not have to pay for shipping.  I find them to be honest people, just a little higher on their prices for the most part.

I have a C&R licence.  Have bought 2 K-31's from them.  I checked around and they had a fair price and the guns were in good shape.  Easy to deal with.
Only problem I had was for the 2nd one I ordered a walnut stock model which was a little more and they sent me a beech stock.  When I called them they quickly sent me a return postage and quickly shipped the desired item back.
Seem like very nice people..

If you reread my post I stated Centerfire was reasonably close to me.  They are much closer to me than AIM or SOG.  I have a son that lives in Winchester that I visit a lot so from there it is just a short drive to Centerfire.

I go to Lexington quite a bit for shopping or to dinner or whatever and if I am in a mind to purchase something from them I just make a day of it.  The gas cost doesn't enter into the equation for me because I will be in the area anyway.

One of the main reasons I like to go there is that I can personally inspect anything I buy from them.  Something being shipped to me doesn't afford me that opportunity.  Like I said, in my opinion they are reasonably close to me.  OK   ::)

Just pullin yer leg Jack, I don't know anyone in eastern KY that don't shop in Lexington, Didn't meen to step on yer toes sorry bout that. Do you take the back roads to Winchester? Thats some real pretty scenery going north from yer place, Nice gun store there too, I've also been eyeballin one of the Double Starr AR-15s they make in Winchester. Have you ever dealt with them? ;D  I drive to Paris to go to Buds Guns also, I feel kinda bad to think I ruffled yer feathers a little. :-[

Bob

No feathers ruffled here.  That's why I said Centerfire was reasonably close to me.  It sure isn't a 30 minute drive but it is close enough and convenient enough that I visit them on a regular basis.  I visit them often enough that I have developed somewhat of a friendship with a guy named Ed there.  Don't know if you know him or not.

My son and I ride our motorcycles through the back roads of Winchester.  Buds Gun shop is where I bought my Buffalo Classic 45/70 from.

Centerfire has a rifle coming in that I have an interest in and if they ever get it I will probably go there and get me one.  I pretty much have to deal with out of town gun shops because the shops local to me, what few there are of them, just want to rip me off.

I just recently purchased a new Ruger Single Six 22 cal. revolver.  The cheapest I could find it here was $375.00 + tax.  My son picked one up for me in Lexington for $309.00 + tax.  Here is the rifle that I am keeping an eye on from Centerfire.
