Just got back from the second season hunt in southern Illinois and got skunked again. Usually the deer are running over me and I get to choose the one I want. This year for both seasons we saw very few deer. We didn't see many acorns on the ground so we are hoping that the deer moved out for better food. I still have some bow hunting time left, but it is that hard to hunt, cold and snow conditions. It is amazing how getting your butt kicked by these deer can affect you.
