Don't worry about the nosey part, yes it is a dog. It's an Irish Wolfhound, he's a little more filled out now than when that picture was taken. Real gentle dogs, that's the second one that my parents have owned, and even though they like to play, and RUN, they are calm enough to have around real young children.
