info on old shotgun

i am looking for some info on a shotgun it was my grandpa's it is a 410 it was bought at western auto about 40 yrs or so ago the only thing i could find on the barrel was something like   "eib-xxxx" can't remember last four letters would like any help you can give with model and maker it has silver inlay with ducks on it it has a bead sight and wood stock and forearm i would appreciate any info i could get thanks in advance.

If you're serious about wanting someone to help you then you're gonna hafta give more info than that. You don't even say if it's a single barrel, double barrel, bolt action, pump or what. You can't possibly expect us to guess.

Get the gun, a photo is best but at least a description to include action type and there are surely more markings than that on it.

it is a single shot my dad who has the gun now thinks it might be a savage or stevens possibly i will get a pic after i get the stock back from repair and get the barrel put back on to help out with the identification i couldn't find much info on the barrel except for the eib-xxxx thanks i will get back to you all with pick asap

ok i have some more info it was made in spain it is a 410 with 3" chamber some of the letters and numbers are EIG-EIBAR andthere is also NAC  i beleive and 52445 and 410-77 720G MOS 950 KCS choke 9.5 10.4 G4 i think that is every number and letter on the barrel any help would be appreciated.

Eibar is in Spain. The best I can figure you have a cheap Spanisn import typical of the period. No brand name associated with it. Quality was almost universally poor on the Spanish guns of the period. Unless it definitely exudes quality I'd assume it to be in that category and put it on the wall as a souvenier not a user. That's what I've done with my grand dad's old JC Higgins pump gun.

i am getting a few things done to it but it really is nothing more than sentimentel value i am sure it is capable of shooting but it has not been shot in a long time but it will stay in the family.
