41 magnum 250 gr jacketed loads chronograph work
« on: December 20, 2006, 11:36:05 PM »
Hey folks I've done follow up work with these new 250 gr Jacketed soft points for the 41 magnum.

I posted it on the G B reloading forum:

These have a rather wide flat point and seem pretty hard. I wonder how they'd perform on game?

The maker says they tend to behave like hard cast and penetrate deeply.

They also feed very well in my Marlin FG even when loaded long in for an overall loaded length of 1.70".

I don't show a lot of Marlin data but it is a starting point.  Sure easier to clean up than cast bullets.
Fun to have a new heavy bullet for the 41 mag.

Merry Christmas
