So should I just shoot it until it comes apart? It's pillar-bedded with aluminum pillars that are epoxied into the forend and the screws are holding in the pillars (aka, it's pillar bedded) So if it does come apart I won't damage anything, right? It's not a major crack by any means, but I fully expect it to get worse. An new forend from the same maker is around $60, so I should be able to get one that matches my grip fairly closely, figure walnut is figured walnut for the most part, right? I'd send it back to him, but the pillar bedding is an alteration/improvement of his original "pillar bedding". I ordered it pillar bedded, figuring it would come with aluminum pillars, but it appeared that he just glued in some dowel pillar and drilled through them for my pillars.
