Saturn Powder Funnel having Static Electricity Problems
« on: December 06, 2006, 07:20:33 AM »
I have a .22 Caliber Saturn Aluminum Powder Funnel.  I was making up some test loads for my .223, when I noticed the powder sticking to the sides of the funnel.  Luckily, I had only filled about five cases with powder.  I was wondering if anybody else has had problems with static electricity with these, and if so, how do you fix it?  I ended up going back to my plastic RCBS funnel to finish.

Wipe the inside of the powder funnel with a dryer sheet...........don't ever use just a paper towel or shirt sleave.

Absolutel agree with skb.
And while you are at it, wipe down the powder drop and anything else associated with powder delivery. Works like a charm.

you can also dip the funnel in some water with a few drops of dish soap mixed in.This worked better for me than the dryer sheet. Winter is the WORST time for static!
