GBO BP Mortar and Cannon Forum now #4 at GBO
« on: December 06, 2006, 05:55:29 PM »
Guys you continue to amaze me. I still recall when Doug and Tim wanted to open this forum I asked if there were really enough folks out there interested in Cannons to justify one. They assured me there was. Reckon so.

Matt told me today that this forum is now in 4th place with only three more active forums on the entire site than it. That's a LOT of traffic guys. I no longer wonder if there are enough cannon guys to justify one.  :o

And today I got yet another inquiry from a maker wanting to advertise their wares here. I've not yet contacted them but will try tomorrow. This forum just continues to amaze me. Great job Doug and Tim and all the members here who make it what it is.

OK, Bill, it's high time that you post some of YOUR pictures of cannons.   ;D

We don't get down to your neck of the woods often, so it's up to you to post a pix or two of local cannons (monuments or actively being used)!

I find it interesting that DD & I contacted Bill (Graybeard) within DAYS of eachother.

I also find it greatly rewarding to have had the opportunity to learn from  so many folks from different walks of life and such rich experiences with blackpowder as the common denominator.

Thanks to all of you.  There is not another forum like this.  I  have only recently started posting but have followed it for a long time. The only negative is that If I had seen this too much earlier I would not have had the time to finish some of my cannon.  copdoc

I learned how to shoot cannons from this website. Thanks Graybeard and all the people that make this board possible

Let's not forget the quiet man behind the curtain, the "wizard of GBO" if I might say, he who keeps us up and running.  Matt,  we owe you a double thanks.
