Will SN60 PB40 (rosin core 60% tin / 40% lead) work for cast bullets?

That's much too rich for casting by itself!  Save that stuff for when you need some tin to harden a softer alloy.  Check out the Lyman Cast Bullet handbook.

Smoke, How much of that stuff do you have? You can trade that for a lot of pure lead. For a 1/16 mix for Hand gun bullets you'd only need about a pound or so of that 60/40 solder to make about 8-9 pounds of bullet alloy. Then too, you COULD sell it and BUY alloy from some dealers.

I sell lead specifically for casting bullets. It is very high quality.

Its not cheap but I imagine it doesnt cost as much as 60%tin solder.
