Winchester 94 in 30-30. OK for Cowboy Action?
« on: December 26, 2006, 05:33:57 AM »
My friend has a bunch of old Winchester 94's in 30-30 to sell. I'd like him to get top dollar for them and I suggested that they may have extra value to a cowboy action shooter. Is that true? Thanks.  Is there a best place to try and sell these guns? I think he should use the Web to get a broader market.

Thanks.

Main Match Rifles for cowboy action have to be of a pistol calibre so a 30-30 would not qualify. You can use a 30-30 in side matches, but my experience has been you see more 38/55 and 45/70 and that the long range side matches are rare. The SASS website has a forum that you could direct him to.
