New truck so rifles have to go.
« on: April 04, 2003, 02:55:44 PM »
:( I just sold my 1885 in 270,my remington 788 in 243,but still have to sell my Ruger RSI INT. 3006. See my add in for sale.
Picking up my 2003 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4X4 in 8 days,so some good guns had to go still kept a few (7) for those days when you just cant get by without shooting a couple rounds.
Didnt want to sell but damb those trucks shure are expensive.
Ahhh i will get something new from the shop before to long to play with.
Never even had a chance to shoot two of them rifle guns.
What the hell the truck shure is pretty.

I guess we have different priorities...I just got rid of a car because I couldn't carry my rifles in it without posting a guard (station wagon...any passing fool can see in, and lots of passing fools do), and got a sedan with a trunk. Had to go secondhand, even, to get one with a trunk big enough (long buffalo rifle and a long plains rifle).
I get a car to fit my guns; you get guns to fit your car.
I ain't paranoid but every so often, I spin around real quick.--just in case
Sometimes I have a gun in my hand when I spin around.--just in case

Long after the $20K Club Cab is a heap of scrap metal headed to a blast furnace those nice rifles will be as good as ever.  Vehicles are a sorry use of money compared to a good rifle.

$2,000 1986 Suburban.  It gets about 8-10 mpg, is paid for and can haul ALL my guns, ammo and reloading equipment at once! :)

Yes, my guns and gear are worth way more than the truck!  :-D
