Gas Checking a hard cast?

I got some 328gr. Hard cast from Hunters supply two years ago when i got mt 454.What do i need to gas check these?I called and was told there ready at the bottom but they dont take the time because then they would cost to much because of labor.
I didn''t do it and whoever said I did is lieing!!

Not sure what you mean by ready at the bottom.  If you mean they are a checked bullet design without the check attached, you can get a Lee sizing die (+/- $14) in 0.452 and attach the checks yourself. Expect to pay $17  and up for 1000 checks. You can get both the die and checks from Midway.   If the bullets aren't a check design, you can't check them without a large expense.  Hanned Line makes a tool whereby you can make checks from beer/soda cans and then attach them to an unchecked design.   Start up cost for the tool is high.  You might want to try a few without the checks and see what the news turns out to be.  I suspect if you load them moderately, you can get by without a check.   My powder of choice would be relatively fast burning (Unique or Bullseye) to bump up the bullet to fill the bore.

They are of checked bullet design and i have Lee,s carbide set for my .454 and a Lee factory crimp die so what exactly do i need?Does it work like putting a primer in?I get most of my stuff from Midway and have seen the gas checks but figured you needed some kind of tool.Thank you for your answer.I have about 250 hard cast and i have the time to mess with them now.

Castaway is talking about the bullet sizing die, not the case sizing die that is in your carbide set.  Look in the bullet casting section for them.
