DD's Cannon Club makes the newspaper!

On the 200 anniversary of the "NOON CANNON" in cape town  5 members of the miniature cannon club fired a salute> And it made the paper yet!
Tell us more DD!

Sure wish we could take the credit but it wasn't us.  Capetown is about a 800 miles from here clear on the other side of the country.

None the less it is good to have notice of it.

It is an unusual event - one in which the use of (albeit small) cannons is demonstrated as a popular exciting public event that is socially acceptable!

We should learn from that - it is a visible display of our sport that is positive and non-violent.

The South Afrcian Minature Cannon Club does make the paper every spring when it starts the Swartkop Challenge

We will all be going up to Ladysmith in March 31-April 1 to start it again.

I have been on Waggon Hill. I wouldn't want to drag a gun up that slope!
