CVA REMINGTON
« on: December 21, 2006, 01:23:52 AM »
I am thinking about picking up a used cva 1858 remington  steel frame revolver that a dealer has had for quite some time and has dropped the price. Only thing is I see that cva doesn't sell these anymore and just wondering who made these? I have also heard that nipple thread is different. Anything else different, parts hard to find? It's in great shape and used cap and balls are rare in my area. Thanks for any help.

Howdy,
I repair blackpowder revolvers as my hobby and some of them are CVA. All of the ones sold by CVA that I have worked on were made by Armi San Marco. So I would think that the one you are looking at was probably made by ASM also.
I have found a supplier for Armi San Marco revolver parts. CVA sent me to them when I was looking for parts for CVA revolvers.

Deer Creek Products
6989 E Michigan Rd
Waldron, IN 46182
(765) 525-6181

They have no internet site or e-mail. So you have to call them. I did and they assured me that they have a good supply.
Every thing I ordered came in correct.
Good Luck,
Lee
