Price Check
« on: December 20, 2006, 02:44:35 PM »
Got the following quotes today from a dealer to order these guns:

Model 97 357 4.25-inch barrel $1,460

Model 83 Premeire 6-inch 454 $1760

Based on what I've seen on gunbroker these are decent prices and include shipping overnight from Freedom. Would have to pay sales tax due to local sale.  Seem about as good as I'll likely do?

Sounds like a good deal to me.  My 97 with micarta grips and rounded butt cost me a little under $1700 with tax

I paid $1469 for a new 97 in 44 special - 5-1/2", no options.  The local Sportsmans warehouse ordered it for me.  I think you have a fair quote there.  I recently paid something like $1400 for a used 97 in 357, but it has the octagon barrel and micarta grips, and I paid $1250 for a used (barely, something like 150 rounds) 97 in 45 colt, and that included a FA holster.  So, they cost what they cost - I'd pull the trigger on it, if I was you, pardon the pun...
Regards,

Tom
