What is the difference in a .490 round ball and a .509 and which is easer to load and more accurate

.490 round balls are patched. The ball never touches the barrel, but the patchin' gives it the rotation. .509 sounds like a lead conical size, they engrave at loadin' for the most part, and don't use a patch. What yore riflegun likes best will depend in part on the twist rate of the riflin'.  ;)
