Postal matches sounds like a GREAT idea, BigBill.

Now, since we are at places all over the country, continent, or whatever, how are we gonna get together for these once-a-month events?

curious John

We will just shoot at our local spots and post results (being honest of course) it will be fun to see how good these old puppies can shoot?? The only range i have is 100yds rifle and 25 yds pistol but if you guys can shoot farther thats ok too it will be interesting just to see how tight they can group??  We could keep it more fair by using bought ammo only?? What ever we agree on is ok with me?? I'm open for suggestions?? Too bad we can't post pictures here?                                                                BigBill

Nothing to win but the "TOPGUN" or best shooter here??

AKA Big Bill, or as we call him now Mr. Frugal,
A Postal Match sounds like fun.  I of course have been having some diff-u-gal-ties with my M38, but after Mikey got it bedded last weekend, I think that is in the past (I hope, I hope, I hope!!!!!!!!)

I believe up on the single shot forum they have them, so perhaps we could follow their lead........I believe all we are required to do is send in our targets (This being a Gentleman's Sport, there's no need for monitoring) each month by a certain dead-line and we have a go!  Big Bill, er.....Mr. Frugal, are you volunteering to be the spokesman, Grand Pupa, and otherwise judge and jury?  Just thinkin' out loud sort of, till I get some official Ok's and Gray Beard has his say........

Big Bill,

As a follow-up, why don't you go down to the "Request a Forum" and just copy this original post to GrayBeard.  Rules say we have to start a poll so we can get our feelings expressed and set down say a couple weeks for the poll to run.  That's it!

SavageT we don't want to go past the "big guy" the "king tomato" the "head honcho" here we must get the ok first from "MR GrayBeard" them we will figure out how to do it? we could just post our results and how do we measure the target?? I hope we get more shooters?? If its ok??
                                                                 BigBill

Like i said it was just a thought?? I have some that have never been shot yet but i'll try it anyhoo?? Maybe we can get the MIA BUCKWEET my buddie to shoot too if he can come out of retirement?? I heard he's a good shooter on the farm there and i'm not sure if we should allow his daughter to shoot I heard she shot a good size deer this year(just kidding) maybe she will teach us all a lesson on shooting??

I used to shoot postals all the time with the swede & M-1. They are fun. Lately Lone Yankee & I have been doing a postal CAS match using only the HOLY BLACK.  My avatar shows the 45-70 Sharps we use fer the long range segment. I will agree to be the impartial judge if yall want.
I'm on the new target shooting forum here on GB.
