I'M HAVING A TOUGH TIME FINDING A WEB SITE.I'M LOOKING FOR SOME ONE TO MAKE ME A HIGH GRADE WOOD STOCK FOR MY TRIP-4 MARLIN IN THE 95'.WITH OR WITHOUT CHECK REST.CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT.

Hodgdon, Lyman, Speer, Sierra, Hornady = reliable resources
so and so's pages on the internet = not reliable resources
Alway check loads you find on the internet against manuals.
NEVER exceed maximum listed loads.

I can help you out as building custom rifles/ stocks is what I do for a living.    There are many things you should look into before having a stock made for you such as cast off or cast on for a left handed shooter,comb height and pitch are a few.     If you are interested give me a call some time 207-938-3595

KENTDEP:  Thanks for that link.  I wnet to the Treebone carving website and 'WOW'!  What beautiful stocks.  I noticed he said they have to be fitted - I wonder if he does that or if he only makes those stocks.  I'll have to ask him.  Thanks again.  Mikey.

Mikey,

I belive that when you buy from him you get a 90% stock. You have to get a gun smith to do the finish work but when your done, the stock should be perfectly matched to your rifle. Then just add some Tru-oil to finish your stock up and you'll havea real looker.

I want to order up a pistol gripped stock and forend in Semi-Fancy walnut for my 1895 LTD-V. Oh, and I want the cresant butt plate to match. I was thinking that I would have the reciever, lever, lever plate, hammer, forend cap and the butt plate all color case hardened by Doug Tunbull. I was also thinking that I would have all the screws carbona blued too.
