new muzzloader omega or encore????
« on: December 22, 2006, 08:25:50 AM »
I'm thinking of getting a new muzzleloader and would like some advice on which one would best suit my needs. I have all the centerfires I think I need right now so swapping barrels on the encore isn't nessarry. I was wandering about how the omega shoots, and how easy it is to clean. Also can you adjust the trigger on it

I would greatly appricate any pro's or con's on these two rifles.

Thank you, much

I would say look at all the threads here on the Encore and Omega and you can form an opinion off a lot of what has already been discussed.

I don't swap barrels either but I have 4 Encores and no Omegas. I have owned 2 Omegas and they worked great, I just like the feel, function and look of the Encore over the Omega.  ;D

I like the Encore but out of box the Omega shots just as well. The Encore can be upgraded with an huge amount of both suppliers and parts to be found.

The Omega trigger is only adjustable with a file and some skill.  I don't know about the Encore.  My newer Omega had a nicer trigger than my old one, there was no need to adjust it.
