Handi barrels
« on: January 06, 2007, 12:36:31 AM »
I see from reading allot of post's here that it seems safe to just buy another used barrel (assuming that one is putting a rifle barrel on a rifle receiver) and as long as it is a tight fit it is ok. Is this true? I know NEF recommends only factory fits. Thanks, Charlie

Charlie

All 10 of my extra barrels have been gotten 2nd, hand and i have only had a fitting problem with 1 , that was a eazy fix , just needed to remove a small amount of metal from the underlug .

It helps that i have more than one frame to work with , so if it does not fit one then it may fit another . check the barrel fitting inst. in the FAQs , its a snap to do .

Yes this is true but make sure its a newer frame not a older frame the older frames only can handle a sertant barrels i think the new frames that handle alott of the barrels are the SB2 frame if its a older frame i wouldnt do this as quick his the man on these handi rifles
