I've been lucky enough to have 2 Kahr P40 handguns.  Love them.  Hard to understand why they don't have their own thread.

I have a sweet P 9 custome and I love it too. Kahr are either a love or hate relationship, they work or malfunction. There are a lot of great guns that don't have a dedicated thread forum to them and would be impossible to list all of them and how many times they would be used to chat on, the most popular are listed and have forums. You are right and I think that Kahr should have a forum of it's own.

 I have a T9 and P40 both are great guns . My T9 is a wonder gun the best shooting auto I ever owned. I can drill eye balls out at 20 yards with it. my best friend picked it for the first time and shot the best group he ever fired with a pistol. He is still trying to buy it from me but it's never going to happen It's a keeper!

I picked up my first Kahr K40 used for 350 at a local gun store and all I can say is wow. I never dreamed that a gun with that short of a barrel would be that accurate. I love it. Can't wait to pick up my next one, thinking about a 45.

My second P40 I've only had for about two months.  Both of my P40 have the AGrip treatment on the handles.  All I can say is that if you don't have AGrip on your semi-auto, you are enduring needless pain.  I finally got a chance to get out and shot the stock 3.5 inch barrel the other.  Amazing accuracy clear out to at least 70-80 yards.  After cleaning I dropped in a 4 inch ported barrel.  Hope the results are as good with it.  My second P40 came with one 6 round mag and one 7 round, the older one came with two of the 6 round mag.

I'm really excited to try it again with the AGrip in place and the 4" ported barrel and the 7 round mag allowing 8 rounds to be carried with one in the pipe.  This is my backpackers gun par excellence.  As near as I can tell with 8 rounds and the extra goodies I'm somewhere around 21 to 22 ounces ready to go.  Pretty excited about the upcoming trip

Well I got out and shot a couple of boxes of Federal 155 grain out of my P40 with the AGrip installed and the 4" ported barrel in place. Accuracy was great and felt recoil was tolerable.  In sharp contrast to my experience a couple of weeks ago with the standard grip and the 3.5" regular/unported barrel. This is clearly the backcountry weapon of choice.  Sure others offer more power but will you carry them all day every day???  I've tried more powerful weapons, but they weigh so much that they get left in the car if not in camp.  Here I can get 7 rounds in the extended magazine and the 4" ported barrel and the AGrip and the holster and the belt using 1.5 inch nylon and the whole thing weighs like 21 ounces.

My last attempt was a S&W M60 Stainless 3" 38 +P 5 shooter, but it weighed 24 ounces empty.  It just got left behind.  There is a threshold at about 22 ounces at which you just don't take it with you anymore.  I say that a P40 with AGrip and a 4" ported barrel and the 7-shot extended magazine is the ultimate that I will carry with me.
