Marlin 30-30 336 Rear Sight Removal

Can anyone please tell me how to remove the rear sight from the barrel? Thanks!

It's dovetailed.....you'll need a brass drift and a hammer.

As you are looking from the receiver towards the muzzle - drift it out left to right with a drift and hammer (as victorcharlie mentioned).  Before you do so, remove the sight elevator and place something non-marring (i.e. popsicle stick) under the back portion to keep it from scratching the bluing.
