Vial quick loads
« on: January 02, 2007, 02:22:30 PM »
These small blood vials I got awhile back at a yard sale work out nice to hold loose powder, I pulled off the purple rubber cap, cleaned and dried the inside and they hold exactly 90 grains of loose FF pyrodex powder...

I am using 85 grains right now in the Omega with room to grow...

So I have a Use for these tiny vials yet with the foam holder to keep them apart for  target and other fun shooting...

I need to line me up with another .50 caliber rifle he he..so I can have a Buddy shoot side by side to see who can hit what...

I will for sure look at Given blood for fasting for the doc different now, with them Vials and needles....

Are they plastic or glass?

Some types of plastic generate static.
keep your powder dry !!!

Slave, these are Glass with a Soft rubber cap that is compressed into the top.... Bottom of glass or a Round ball shape, so they can't be filled and stood alone, But the Foam helps to just set back in after filled and capped off....

I will get a Foam sheet which I can cut and trim to fit in a small box that will fit 10 filled vials for field and target shooting... so they don't move around and also are covered from loosing....

Co-worker found some also and I asked the other day if he wanted to sell me his 100 still sealed in the foam case and at this time he plans to keep them to use for his scroll saw fin blades as he does alot of wood work projects and carving...

Thanks for the tip, I forgot about the plastic issue with static...
