1954 32 Winchester Special

This was my very first rifle back in 1984, bought for me by my father. I never really shot it very much because the next year I had bought a 243 (Haven't even killed a deer with it). I have been reloading for a couple of years now and never even thought about reloading for the 32 until last week. Today (23 years later) I went out to the range and sighted it in at 50 yards with a couple of factory loads I had found in the gun cabinet. Switched to the 100 yard range and shot 3 shots with my reloads and I was finished. The old gun shoots pretty darn good with them reloads. I guess I gonna have to use the gun a little more often. Nice shooting! And your timing is good if you are a handloader.

The February '07 issue of Handloader has an extensive article on loading for the 32 special.  And another article in the same issue is on the 32-40.  You might find them helpful. I sure enjoyed reading them.

Those old guns deserve some exercise now and then.

Oh forgot, went and checked velocity on load.
Chrony was set @ 10' away, load had about 2010fps avg. in 7 shots.
