« on: September 26, 2006, 03:08:57 PM »
Could anyone out there tell me the value of a 32-20 Colt Army Special with a 4 inch barrel in fair condition would be?
Thanks, claybyrd

A shop by me has a Colt Official Police (same gun, newer name) for $300 in .38SPL. In 32-20, and being a somewhat older gun, it would probably fetch more from the right people.

Well Claybyrd, I have been looking around here and there and on other sites recently since I found your posting a few days ago to find the value of that particular make and caliber. What I found is that its worth between $300 - $400 in that condition. Good to excellent conditoin bringing up to $700. Hope this helps although I'm not a big 32-20 fan. Its just hard to find cases and they crack too loud for me. I prefer the .357 and .38 special for target shooting and hunting. Especially the .38 special for woods loafing, works wonders on squirrels and cottontails. And if I need more gun like for whitetails, I go to the old meat and tatters: my Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Long Colt.
