Cartridge Capacity
« on: January 12, 2007, 04:28:13 AM »
Does anyone out there have the needed software to calculate the case capacity for the 35 Whelen and the 9.3x62 cases?  Would like to know how much of an advantage the Mauser has over the Whelen.  Thanks

I say the 9.3X62 would probably hold more water then the 35 Whelen because the 9.3X62 can push the 270 to 2550 FPS and the 35 Whelen can push the 250 to 2400 fps. I got these loads out of the 11th Edition of Cartiridges of the World. Hope this helps.

I don't know the exact case capacity of either, but the 9.3X62 holds more powder then the 35 Whelen. The 9.3X62 is the case that fits between the 35 Whelen and the 375H&H.  The difference between them are about 150 fps with the nod going to the 9.3X62
