I havn't used one personally. I use a buttstock cartridge holder....I think it's an Uncle Mikes. It holds 9 shells, works great, never interfers with anything and I always have enough shells when I am hunting.

I have wanted to try one but was worried that the pressure put around the barrel and forearm might cause problems with accuracy. If you try one let us know how it works.

I have one of the flex loaders on my .280 standard contour barrel. I have never tested to see if it has any effect the accuracy but i can't believe that it would. I have mine pulled back halfway between the forearm screws. It is very handy to have your bullets right there.
FYI if the cartridges are pushed all the way in, they are very hard to pull out. I usually load one in the gun and then pull the other one out some in case i need a quick second shot. I also drilled a small hole through the bottom of the carrier because there was a strong suction on the shells. This also helped.
