Ditto on the Banners, I've several of em, the 1½-4½x32 is highly recommended by the .45-70 levergun crowd, I have one on one of my .45-70 Handis, it's a great scope with an excellent reputation and 4" of eye relief, well under $100!

Bushnell Banner, just like Weatherby puts on their scoped Vanguard package rifles.....including their heavy-recoiling Vanguards.

good shooting to you,

I was gonna make a recomendation here, but it looks like everyone has the same one as I do. I have had many friends of mine look through my banners and comment on how clear and crisp they are. These guys are from the Nikon, Leupold crowd.

Another vote for for the Bushnell Banner.
My BIL bought one for his 270 Ultra for $83.
I also have one that I bought 20 years ago that is still on my Savage 340 and has never needed adjustment and works just as good.
Nice scope!

I just ordered a 1.5x4 Banner  from Jon at OpticZone.......yesterday. I'm really starting to prefer low power scopes and fixed power scopes. I love a K6 Weaver I have on my Ruger 10-22 carbine.

I've had really good luck with my 3 Bushnell Sportsman 3-9x32's.    Two on hunting rifles are battered and well worn, and the one on my high powered spring-air has yet to loose zero.   In addition to being cheaper than a Banner, I like the construction of the Sportsman tube better (all one-piece aluminum, instead of exposed plastic at the turrets).

Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against a Banner (I have the 3.5-10x36 Banner, and I like it just fine), they're fine scopes - but in the 'cheap 3-9' class, I like the Sportsman line better.

I would go way under a hundred and get one of the NcStar's, I've had a couple of the simple ones and have never had a problem.  Larry

Just got the BDC Banner in the mail today to mount on my .243.
I'm really looking forward to checking this thing out. Nice, clear optics, so far.
