while iam on the subject of doin things hahah

heres what i built for my son whos a firefighter /parmedic on wright pat airforce base , ( civilian , )its a 1948, soda acid fire extingusher i got out of an old building i was inspecting  last fall , its all brass its 26in tall, and still has the orginal  labels on it,and still had the hydrocloric acid and soda water in it ,  i polished it for about 3 weeks , and turned it into a lamp for his apt,  one of them priceless type of gift i suppose , he bout had tears when he got it , hey dads and sons never get to old for each other

I have seen how nasty those old copper ext. can get , so it was a labor of love , just one ?? , was there more labor or love involved .

well i went thru 2 cans  of brasso cleaner if that tells yu how much labor,  but always plenty of love  for that kid , hes my baby , all 230 lbs and 6'2 of him , hahahah
