Thanks for posting that. I am constantly amazed at how uninformed people who are in the firearms industry are. Just like what he ran into. I was in several gunstores recently asking about Ruger Hawkeyes, one was Cabelas, and no one knew what I was talking about and one even tried to explain to me that that was a discontinued pistol. Which I knew.I've also run into this asking about Marlin XLR's- usually a dumbfounded look followed by "a what?". The 375 Ruger, in my opinon, doesn't need to be 200fps faster than the H&H to be successful. Simply being able to duplicate the H&H out of a standard length action and a lighter weight rifle is great. I agree with the writers that the Ultras are too big, the WSM are too small, and 7mm, 30, & 338  based on the new case would be just right.

You have to be kidding ...........My 375 Ultra Mag is not too big, they made the 550 T-Rex to be too big.

The gun store guys played dumb with me, too.  Maybe they weren't playing...

I have predicted elsewhere that the case will survive even if the cartridge does not.  A .338 would get my attention even faster than the .375 has, and a .25 would be a must have if it provided WBY velocities.

I am starting to think that you could take that case and stick any 8mm-.375" bullets in it and it would be a winner.  I am kind of partial to .35 caliber rifles and would love to see a .35 caliber cartridge based on this case.
