Winchester 1894 AE .357 Trapper
« on: January 05, 2007, 01:57:10 PM »
How hard to come buy are these rifles? Also what are some real world values. I was at the local consignment gun dealer and an older gentleman brought one in it was in the box, It is an older one, he shot less than a box of ammo since new. The gun is 98+%. I put it in layaway before it hit the shelf. I fell in love with it. 500 seemed a fair price since I have been looking for a .357 lever for 6 mos. I like marlin actions but this seemed to appeal to me. Just want to get some good info on the gun from some experienced gun peeps.

I just bought a used but close to new winchester legacy 357 a 2 months for 400 bucks.
The only thing i dont like about it is the lever is bit loose. Gonna have to shim it..
But i think its a great shooter....and cheap if you reload..
Have fun with it...
I also just bought a Win model 94 AE in 44 mag with a big lever loop
and case colored receiver...Another fun gun to shoot and also pretty cheap
if you reload....took it hunting this passed weekend...but no venison this trip..
