are there different frames for different calibers?
« on: January 07, 2007, 03:04:08 AM »
I have an older .22 Hornet that I want to get a few more barrels for.  I thought I remembered only a few calibers being available for it when I bought it.  But, the other day, when on the NEF site, I noticed all the part #'s started with SB2, which is what is stamped on my frame.  Am I limited to certain calibers or not?  Thanks.

You will need to check the year that your frame was made , H&R will only fit high pressure barrels to frames made after a certain year . Look up your ser. number in the FAQs to see when it was made . the 2nd. letter will need to be a N or later letter .

Where on your frame is it stamped SB2? There are different frames but most are not marked. Depending on the first 2 letters of the serial number there are some different possibilities. What are the 2 letters that precede the numerals in the serial number?....<><.... :)
