GDAY FRIENDS ....JUST WONDERING ....Has anyone loaded this ..and where did you find data..?? ....how is the performance ....and is  taurus  pt145  capable of shooting this load without difaculty...?? ..........would appreciate any info ..........thankyou kindly.....davey

You can go to Handloads.com.........click on their database, enter caliber & bullet weight, & it'll display loads from people who posted theirs on the site. You can also e-mail the authors of the loads. Some of the loads require stiffer recoil springs & shock buffs to run them thru an autoloader. One by Paco Kelly is at 26,500psi. While I printed out the info myself several months ago, I haven't gotten around to trying any of them out..........having too much fun with my .45 Colt guns. Good Luck, JD45

Thankyou for your reply ..........so im thinking if some  45 +p  loads require stiffer recoil springs then there must me some kinda presure  limit to  in stock 45s  load ... is the upper limit to normal factory and handloads around .... 900 fps ...??   where would i find out the maximums minimums ...?? ...........thanx ...davey

The difference between .45ACP and .45ACP +P is the chamber pressure.  SAAMI max for the .45ACP is 21,000 psi.  The maximum for the +P loading is 23,000 psi.  The reesult of more pressure is more velocity.  The velocity ranges for these loadings very depending on the bullet weight - from 185 to 260 grains.

Go here for different load data for the two cartridges.  Do not rely on amature fan sites, their data is seldom pressure tested.
