cost of a good used drilling
« on: December 28, 2006, 04:00:15 PM »
Any ideas what a good used drilling would cost. Not new but excellent condition. I want my do everything for the rest of my life gun. Don't want one that will be really heavy recoil. I can do without a brown bear caliber. Small game to deer, elk, maybe and occasional moose. Sugestions on gagues, calibers and cost.  ;D Thanks, Byron

I looked and looked for a good drilling in the $2500 to $3000 range and never found one.

I think a nice drilling with main stream calibers is going to be in the $3500 to $4500 price range.

I think your right!  In the early 80's i could order a new plain jane drilling for under $2,000.00 (dealer cost from Krieghoff) and how i wish i had bough up several at that time!!!!

Back then $3,500.00 would buy a VERY nice "new" drilling with some engraveing, insert bbl, and scope!  One USD would get you over 3 marks....
