Download MapSource United States TOPO Basemap Patch
Please note: This patch is only applicable for all versions of the MapSource United States TOPO product. It will not affect any other MapSource product.Change:Removed fragment of map template from northern Minnesota area so that MapSource would not report an error when viewing data in this area.

I have ignored this patch for years because I do not plan on traveling to Northern Minnesota. I would not mind making the trip, but it is not in the budget.
I have complained in earlier post regarding trying to create mapping downloads using US TOPO Western and Eastern disk. I keep getting errors. Garmin is know to toss in a few other fixes or enhancements with their updates and patches. The clue to me was that in said “viewing data from this area.” Automatically you view data from that area when you open the Eastern disk. After downloading and installing the Patch I was able to take maps from the Western Topo disk and the Eastern Topo disk and create a new mapset. I then loaded the new mapset on to the 76Cx without any problem.
I did receive one error message after the upload. After checking maps across the West (Western Disk) and Michigan Maps (Eastern Disk) I could not find a problem. After re-reading the error message I believe it involves Windows XP, but I do not know the impact.
