CZ550 torque spec?
« on: January 11, 2007, 03:48:34 AM »
Hi, all...quick question.  What is the torque spec for the action bolts on a CZ550 in 375 H&H?  My new rifle will be here soon, and I'd like to strip it down for cleaning before firing.  Thanks!

About as tight as you can get with a normal screwdriver works well. Seriously, it's not all that critical - just make 'em tight.

I usually try to settle the action into the stock and tighten the front screw first. The rear screw just has to stay put and if there's a center screw(M70) it is just barely tightened. Don't over do on this one or you may twist or spring the action.. Due to my arthritis I use a ratcheting screwdriver with a handle that pivots to one side. This gives me more leverage with less stress on the joints,,I don't use it when assembling a rifle. I use it mostly when dissasembling them.
