Leupold lifetime warranty
« on: January 11, 2007, 06:18:41 PM »
One cold minus three degree morning last year I accidently dropped my backpack out of the tree stand. The propane heater inside barely survived with major damage to the plastic housing and control valve.

The Leupold binocs were now out of focus and had a crack in the housing even though they were armor protected. I suspect the cold added to the damage, possibly causing it with both items.

I finally sent the binocs in and Leupold repaired them no questions asked and no fee. It would have cost me around $200.00 otherwise based on the paperwork they sent back to me.

Lifetime warranty means lifetime with Leupold 8)

Not too bad if you buy  used. I have two 400 dollar Leupold scopes that I paid $375 for both. I like the long eye relief.

I lost my pair of Leupold binocs on the back 40 of my property.  After a month of freezing rain I found them and one side had fogged up.  I cleaned it and sent to Leupold.  About 3 weeks later got them back and Leupold had cleaned and "rebuilt" both sides and NO CHARGE.

Leupold, the best in my book.
