Anybody else here shoot an Oneida bow?  I'm on my third one, a Black Eagle.  I've tried PSE, Bear and most of the rest and none compare to Oneida's ease of draw, speed and durability.  Just wonder how many here shoot, in my opinion, the best bow made?  Lawdog

No, I can't say I have ever shot one, whch ,from what you are saying, is a shame. How is their noise level?  Do thelimbs and cables need special lubrication?

The noise level is really quiet due to the lesser amount of cables.  Limbs are very quiet.  I use Bear Puffs on my strings and have not found any reason to change.  Stop by your archery shop or dealer that carries Oneida bows and give one a try.  Have yet to find any that are not pleasantly surprised.  Lawdog

Hey Lawdog its great to see sombody else shoot one of these fine bows I shoot an older onidea Eagle my self for about10 years now ,I was really into Martins,but had a chance to shoot this one over at a freinds and never went back./Although I have shot others since,I dont think that there is any compairison.they are well balancedjust to hold and even better on realease and exseptionally quiet.In the years that I have had it I have only changed the limb cables once.And one other thing that others I dont think can come close to is that once you get the bow set up you never have to screw with it again!!! and before I quit bragging, set up and timing SIMPLE!. I got a older one in my pro shop that I am working on. a friend picked it up for his son in law...at a $50 price tag... He is a good friend so I did a lot of work for zip, but all it did need was to be setup and a new string. It is a great shooting machine, the closest compound I have ever shot that feels like a traditional recuve but with the full 65% let off. I set it up for release and  at 10 yards it shoots 1/2 dots. I told my friend I will me more than glad to pay him a $100 bill for the bow if his son in law finds he does not want to get into bow hunting.

The first Oneida bow I bought back in 1982 was their Screaming Eagle.  Then my next one was the Areo Force and this new Black Eagle is the best by far.  It has 30% less moving parts which makes it ever quieter.  This bow draws back and lets off like silk.  There is NO hand shock like you get with many other bows.  You are most likely going to see more Oneida's in the stores due to the new owner of Oneida Eagle is Claude Pollington.  He has a number of years in the business and is a gung ho owner with the experience, confidence, and ability to make these bows go.  My son used to shoot PSE until I got him to try my Oneida now he is an Oneida shooter as is my wife and a number of friends.  If a archer has back or shoulder problems then they need to be shooting Oneida's.  Lawdog

I got an Oneida H-500a year after they were introduced. These bows are the smoothest drawing compounds you will ever find. They are also fast and extremely accurate. I got a Screaming Eagle later on, and then an Aeroforce after that. All that speed and accuracy comes with a price, however, these bows are long about 48", and a bit heavy to carry compared to most other bows. The added length made these bows a bit too much for my taste. The outboard limbs have a whole lot of movement to them, I whacked my knee more than once with the bottom limb and the top limb hit tree branches more often then I'd like to admit. Oneidas are still great shooting bows, there is nothing smoother drawing out there, and they are extremely accurate.

I started out with the Screaming Eagle then got an Aeroforce.  Now I got the Black Eagle and you got to try this one.  Only 43", tip to tip, and only 4 pounds.  And even smoother than the Aeroforce, which I thought they could never improve on.  They did.  Makes you wonder what they can do to make this one better.  Lawdog
