Removing comp?
« on: February 10, 2007, 06:18:41 PM »
I found a good deal on a Springfield 45 acp with a 3 chamber comp.  I am assuming that it has a threaded barrel with a cone.  I didn't pick it up because I wasn't interested in the gun with a comp.  I sold all my comp guns long ago.

How much trouble is it to fit a bushing to the barrel? I am thinking that if it is a comped gun, it might have some good stuff already done to it.  If it isn't that big of a job and expense, I might go snatch it up.

Thanks,

Crabo

It should be no trouble at all, but you can call Tim Thompson @ (662) 398-5001 and find out. He is an excellent 1911 gunsmith that has lots of experience with comp guns as well as carry guns. :)
