24" Stainless Huntsman

I have the option to buy either a 24" stainless huntsman for $210 or a 26" stainless for $190.  Both are new and have a crisp trigger.  I am leaning for the 24" just cause I like shorter handling rifles. 

Any thoughts...?

BTW I think they have been there for awhile because the 'clerk' or what every you want to call him, seems to tell every one they are 'cheep' and not too well built  ::)

I have a 24" blued version which I like very much.  Mine is on a sb2 frame because I have a 243 barrel with it.  Both guns work well.

ask the jerk, I mean clerk, to see the manager of the department or the store manager (best bet) and try to buy the 24" for the same price as the 26". That would be my preferance and how I would go about it. The 24" is th older discontinued model, it should not be more, the same perhaps, less hopefully, but not more...good luck and let us know what happens....<><.... :)

I would offer him $350-$375 for a package deal, then sell the one you like the least. Those prices are both very good, I paid $202 for my SS 24" Huntsman 4 years ago and worth every penny. Both of those guns are discontinued, so make him an offer he can't refuse.
