The Cap'n is doing great. He had two surgeries done Monday--multiple diskectomies, laminectomies with bone grafts, plates and screws in back and front cervical vertebrae 4-7--also a "roto rooter" of bone spurs, etc. to decompress (free up the pressure on) his spinal cord. He's a tough ole Ranger--surgeon said he only dropped that .45 round he was holdin' a'tween his teeth once during the 3 1/2 hr. procedure. Got him back at the homestead. He has about three months of mendin', but he should be "ready to ride" by sun-up August 31!

Thanks for all yer thoughts and prayers.

Many thanks to the Posse for prayers and support during my recent hospitalization.  Am back home, hurting like the dickens, and trying not to take too many pain pills (they do work a little better than the .45 shell).  Painful still to sit behind the computer monitor, so will limit my posts for the time being.  Thanks again for caring.
